Inspired by your garden tour, join Ros Marsden for some fun writing activities.
You don't need any writing experience at all.
Each exercise starts with a theme from our garden, but who knows where this takes you!
We focus on how to be descriptive, how to use the things around you, to enjoy any form of writing.
You may leave inspired to write a novel, autobiography, diary, story for a child you know, or a letter to a friend or grandparent you love.

Please write to us here before you book if you have questions regarding accessibility. Whilst nearly all the garden is on grassed flat areas, one area is on a gentle slope.

Ros worked in mainstream television, producing hundreds of hours of live television for Network Ten before moving to Fairfax Media to work at The Age and as corporate communications manager for over 150 Fairfax mastheads. She has written and edited over many years, including for social media. She is the author of F.Bombs, The Handy Guide to Make Your Life Easier and Limericks by Famous Australians, where she asked famous Australians to write autobiographical limericks.
Ros has conducted numerous writing workshops, including for Writers Victoria and loves to show people that they really can write.
We are fortunate to be guided by the genius of garden design expert Ray Robinson at Mistover. Ray has worked in some of the finest gardens in Europe and Australia and designs his clients' gardens to reflect the owners' personalities and interests. He has been an inspiring force as President of Friends of Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens, a not-for-profit group dedicated to supporting the horticultural heritage of Daylesford's outstanding botanic gardens.
Now you can benefit from a practical garden experience with Ray at our workshop. Ray understands the needs of the smallest apartment garden through to the complexities of maintaining a large acre garden.
